8 drawings in – 30 Day Sketchbook Challenge

So far I am keeping up with the #30daysketchbookchallenge of 2020. Go me! Lol. One week and 7 drawings down, and just finished this sketch of the Day 8 theme of: “These Are A Few of My Favourite Things”…

The dogs and horse are no surprise. Reading is a favorite pastime, since childhood I can easily get lost in a book. Artwork has become more than a hobby, with pen-and-ink and oil painting being my favored mediums. Re. the seasons, I am probably a bit odd in that I much prefer spring and fall to summer (do *NOT* enjoy summer’s heat, or the flies – yellow jackets – mosquitoes, or the dryness and lately the increasing wildfire danger). Rounding out my favorite things for this sketch is pizza, I really like pizza.

I hope I can continue my momentum, and if I miss any days to get caught up as soon as possible. This is my third year of participating in this sketchbook challenge, which now has over 5,000 artists from all over the world in the Facebook group. It is a challenge to produce something everyday, plus the variety of prompts have artists tackling subjects that are not their usual fare. These challenges help “recharge the artistic batteries”. Seeing the wide range of styles, mediums, interpretations, etc. of others in the challenge is inspiring. I’m posting my sketches on FB on my Fetcher Sketcher page.
